We regret that special orders are not exchangeable or returnable. All special orders require a 25% no-refundable deposit. A special order constitutes any jewelry; gemstone, watch or gift item ordered or altered at the client’s request. Unless otherwise specified below, your purchase may be returned within 15 days from the original purchase date when accompanied with the sales slip. The item must be unused and unworn, in original condition, and in the original box with all warranty cards and explanation booklets intact. After 15 days we will accept exchanges only. Exchange privileges will expire in 30 days from original purchase date. Discounted items, special orders, completed layaways; modified and/or custom pieces are not returnable or exchangeable.

Custom jewelry involves metals, gems, and labor designed by us for a specific client. As such, all custom jewelry is non-exchangeable and requires a 50% non-refundable deposit before the work begins. Every effort will be made by to accurately manufacture or produce the item(s) so ordered. Full payment upon receipt of custom work will denote the client’s complete satisfaction. Minor adjustments, such as ring sizing and texturing will gladly be made to accommodate the wearer either at a modest fee or at no charge depending on the extent of the work involved.

Titanium and Tungsten rings

All Titanium, Tungsten Carbide, Stainless Still and Damascus Steel rings sold by Marx Jewelers, LTD. carry a lifetime guarantee. If a piece should ever fail structurally, it will be replaced free of charge. If any diamond should be lost from a titanium piece during normal wear, it will be replaced at no charge. Colored stone and nugget inlays are guaranteed for one year.

Titanium and tungsten rings are covered by our exclusive lifetime insurance. With this coverage, you will be able to exchange any ring in the event that you ever need a different size, or if the ring has to be cut off. Tungsten rings are covered for replacement or refinishing in the event that they become scratched or scuffed. Any ring without diamonds will be replaced in the event that it is lost or stolen.

At the time of exchange or replacement, a deductible will be charged. Current deductibles are as follow:

Titanium and Stainless Steel

• Plain band - $15.00
• Gold or silver inlay - $35.00
• Platinum or mokume inlay - $50.00*
• Colored stone (mosaic) inlay - $50.00
• Diamonds - $100.00
• Nugget inlay - $100.00

Tungsten Carbide

• Plain band - $35.00

• Plain band - $35.00

*Rings with platinum and mokume inlays over 1mm wide will be charged an additional $50.00 per mm of additional width.

This store, including its employees, accepts no responsibility for the condition or identification of jewelry or stones upon receipt. Items are submitted to this store for repair only and this store will not act as the insurer of the item(s) listed. Responsibility for loss, theft or damage is accepted by this store only when due to negligence. If any damage or loss occurs, this store’s liability will be limited to the cost to repair or replace the item(s) and will not exceed the value declared. Should no value be listed, it will be assumed the value is less than $100.00. We are not responsible for any item(s) left for repair for more than 90 days.

Work Done at Customers Risk

We can accept the customer’s jewelry for repair, sizing, or remounting with the understanding that ALL work is to be done at the “customer’s risk”. This is due, but not limited to, light weight mountings, flawed or fragile or chipped stones, poor manufacturing, very worn items, poor workmanship by another jeweler previously, or sizing up or down beyond limits of the ring.

Ring Sizing

1. If we size the customer’s actual ring finger and the size is incorrect, we will resize the customer’s ring at NO CHARGE within 30 DAYS from the date of delivery. If we did not get to size the customer’s finger and the ring was a casting, special or sales from us, we will resize the ring once at no charge, within 30 days of the delivery date from our store.
   
   
2. If we size a ring to the customer’s requested size and that size is incorrect, we will charge again to resize the ring.
   
   
3. We can only guarantee our ring sizing form the customer’s finger. We can not be given another ring to go by for size and be accurate.
   
   
4. The ring size on a ring will not change, but because a customer’s finger can become larger or smaller because of diet, medication, the weather, or weight change, we can only guarantee ring sizing for 30 days from the date of delivery of the ring.
   

Gems & Diamonds

1. We do not guarantee that a diamond or gemstone, once taken out of our store will not chip, break, scratch, or fracture. No stone, including a diamond, can be guaranteed not to break, chip, scratch, or fracture. We strongly suggest insuring your jewelry with your homeowner’s policy. They will pay for damage.
   
   
2. We can not be responsible for the further fracture or damage to stones or diamonds that are received from the customer that are already damaged, chipped, broken, or have large inclusions or imperfections. We will inform the customer of these items before proceeding with the repair or installation work.

Deposit on Custom CAD/CAM Design Work

1. Computer Aided Design (CAD) is the newest and one of the best ways to design and manufacture jewelry. Because of the expertise required to master this new technology and craft, and because of the expense of the program, computer and mill: There will be a $200 up front design fee for any design we create for the customer.
   
   
2. This fee is for the time of the designer to sit with the customer and create on a computer screen or paper a design. The fee is 100% creditable towards the manufacture of the ultimate piece for the customer. Once the manufacturing is completed the customer will be credited with the $200.00 deposit payment.
   
   
3. If the customer decides not to have us manufacture the piece for them then the fee is forfeited by the customer, and is not redeemable as a store credit.
   
   
4. The deposit is only redeemable for 6 months from the date of initial payment. After 6 months the deposit is forfeited.

Layaway

We offer a 90-day interest free layaway, with a minimum deposit of 20%, provided you make monthly payments of at least one-fourth of the original balance. Cancelled layaways are subject to a 25% restocking fee.
